Show More Questions
Do you offer restoration and restomod work?

Can you help with performance upgrades?
Yes. Viking Hotrods can assist with performance upgrades for pre-1990 classics, muscle cars and hot rods, including engine, driveline, suspension, fuel and ignition upgrades. The aim is to improve how the car performs while keeping the build suited to the vehicle and how it will be used.
Do you provide mechanical servicing and maintenance?

Can you diagnose problems with older cars?
Yes. Older vehicles often need careful fault-finding and practical workshop experience. Viking Hotrods can help with running issues, electrical problems, mechanical faults, cooling issues, steering or suspension concerns, and cars that simply are not performing as they should.
Does all work happen in-house?
A lot of the work is handled in-house at the Bomaderry workshop so the project stays coordinated and nothing falls through the cracks. Where specialist support is needed, we can work with trusted partners while keeping the project direction clear.
Do you only work on pre-1990 vehicles?
Viking Hotrods specialises in pre-1990 vehicles. This focus allows the workshop to stay close to the types of cars we know best: hot rods, classics, muscle cars, customs and older project vehicles.
Can you help if another workshop has already started the car?
Yes. We can assess vehicles that have had work started elsewhere, including unfinished projects, cars with modification history and vehicles that need problem-solving or staged workshop support.
How long does a project take?
Timelines depend on the car, the scope of work, parts availability and what is uncovered once the vehicle is assessed. Smaller jobs may move quickly, while larger restorations, restomods and custom builds often need to be staged carefully.
Can I supply photos before bringing the car in?
Yes. Photos are helpful, especially for remote enquiries or early project discussions. Send through clear images of the vehicle, any problem areas, and a short description of what you want done so we can give you a better starting point.
What information should I include when I enquire?
Tell us the make, model and year of the vehicle, where it is located, whether it is running or registered, what work you’re considering, and any history you know about the car. Photos are also helpful.
